Last week we worked on central angles whose vertex at the center of the circle. The angle and the arc had the same measure.

Today we will work on Inscribed angles in a circle.
An inscribed angle has its vertex ON the circle.
The angle is 1/2 the arc.

The explanation is at the top of the sheet, but if you don't understand you need to email me. Some of you do not stay current with the assignments and the day of the test tell me "I don't understand". It's too late to tell me then. Also make sure you submit YOUR paper, not someone else's. I know your handwriting by now.

Let's try this again, because somehow the message about the isosceles trapezoid got lost. An upper base angle and a lower base angle are supplementary. The 2 upper base angles are congruent and the 2 lower base angles are congruent. There are 2 pairs of congruent angles. NOT all 4 are congruent. I have 2 sheets attached. One is the notes and the other the problems. PLEASE look at the note sheet before you do the examples.

A PARALLELOGRAM is a quadrilateral in which both pairs of opposite sides are parallel.
