We are going to take advantage of the fact that we are living right now through an event unlike anything this nation has ever seen. It is an historical (yes an historical is the correct way to say it) moment for this nation and the world. We will be comparing this current Covid-19 pandemic to another, the Spanish Influenza Pandemic of 1918.

Good morning class. It's official; we will be away from school until after our Spring Break. So what that means is we will be doing distance learning (online work) until at least April 9th. Then we will have our Spring break (no work). Hopefully we can return back to school by April 20th.

Here is the 2nd part of our Civil Rights DBQ: The essay portion. For the essay please make it 5 paragraphs and use at least THREE examples from the DBQ for evidence. Good morning class. I hope all of you are doing well. It appears that we may be out a lot longer than originally thought. School must go on though, and grades will ultimately be needed in order for all of these days to count towards your credits for the next school year.

Here is the assignment for the next few days. It is the first part of 3 assignments for a project grade. The first part attached below is a DBQ packet on the Civil Rights movement. This will be due by 3:05 PM tomorrow. It consists of 7 documents with very simple questions. After choosing a topic, you and your partner will respond to all questions from the Great Depression activity. All of your responses will be placed on a well designed and creative poster. Poster paper and all materials will be provided by the teacher. Use the attached poster rubric for guidance.
