Emily Arcos, Ferris H.S. student going to be honored at October 20th, 2022 Board Meeting
In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, students from around the district were given the opportunity to highlight the accomplishments of prominent Hispanic Americans from around the country, the world, as well as within the Jersey City Public School community.
Our very own Senior student, Emily Arcos was able to sit down with the Superintendent, Dr. Norma Fernandez - the first Latina to hold this prestigious position, to ask her a few questions about her Hispanic culture, what the role means to her, and what advice she would give to the students of Jersey City Public Schools.
A special thank you goes to Mr. B. Ortiz for guiding and supporting Emily.
The project was selected by a committee of district representatives to be recognized during this Thursday's Board Meeting (October 20th, 6:00 PM at P.S. 11).
